Sports medicine is the best medicine
Michele is the CEO of the Irish Osteoporosis Society, which is the National Charity and only organisation in the ROI that deals specifically with Osteoporosis. The Charity assists those at risk of developing this disease, those who have been fortunate to be diagnosed, and health professionals treating these patients.
Michele has worked for the Charity for 19 years and prior to working for the Charity, she set up the first Fall prevention service for senior citizens in the ROI. Michele lived in the USA for 14 years and she worked in Occupational health and rehabilitation centres in the area of Physical Therapy. Since returning to Ireland, she has been educating the public and health professionals regarding bone health and fall prevention. She completed the Smurfit Executive (UCD) development Senior Leadership Programme in 2019, which was in collaboration with Darden Executive Education, in Virginia.
