Description

This program is designed specifically for secondary school Physical Education (PE) teachers and includes six pre-recorded one-hour sessions that can be accessed online at any time, as well as one live online session. The program will start by examining athlete fatigue, including the various categories and sources of fatigue, the time frames involved in fatigue and restoration, and how fatigue can affect athlete performance.

After this, the program will explore how to measure fatigue and examine the assessment tools used to determine an athlete’s fatigue and recovery status. The program will then look at the different strategies and systems that can be used to aid an athlete’s recovery and how these recovery interventions can be implemented as part of a strategic performance development plan. Finally, the program will delve into two crucial components of the overall recovery program – nutrition and sleep.

The Professional Diploma in Athlete Recovery & Regeneration is intended for coaches and trainers working with both team sports and individual athletes, who have a basic understanding of sports science.
